Pressure Vessel and Piping Engineering
Extensive experience can be offered to our clients in the design, manufacture, modification and re-rating of pressure vessels and associated equipment. Finite Element Methods (FEM) and Computerized Flow Dynamics (CFD) are used when required, to ensure design integrity and conformance to code requirements.

Designs conforming to the following codes and standards have been done:
  • Pressure vessels: ASME VIII Div. 1, 2 and 3, PVHO-1-1997 - Pressure Vessels For Human Occupancy, DIN 13256 - Connecting Flange for Rescue Chambers, BSI Standard PD5500 - Unfired Fusion Welded Pressure Vessels, TEMA - Standards of the Tubular Exchanger Manufacturers Association
  • Pressure Piping: ANSI B31.3 and B16.5
  • Tanks, silo and storage vessels: API 620 and 650/DIN 1055 - Loads in Silo Bins
  • Cranes and lifting structures: BS 2573 Part 1&2 - Rules for the Design of Crane Structures & Mechanisms
  • Commercial Diving and marine systems: DNV - Rules for Certification of Diving Systems / Lifting Appliances, IMCA - The International Marine Contractors Association, Lloyds Rules of Shipping, ABS - American Bureau of Shipping

    Other fields of knowledge are:
  • High pressure and critical vessels
  • Pressure Vessel quick acting closures and viewports
  • Materials Handling Vessels
  • Low and High Temperature Vessels/Systems
  • GRP tanks, vessels and structures for acid services
  • External pressure (sub-sea) and vacuum vessels
